Women’s health week reminds Aussie females about the importance of their health

It is important, now more than ever, to look after our health and wellbeing, because it is powerful stuff. Women’s Health week is fast approaching, from the 7th till 11th of September, reminding us all to take the time to check in on our health and continue to make positive changes in our lives. As Women’s Health week is a nation-wide campaign centred around improving women’s health and helping women to make healthier choices, Palmer’s have pulled together their top tips on how you can check-in on your wellbeing during Women’s Health Week.

  1. Soak it up

Taking a long, warm bath is not only a perfect time to catch up on your favourite Netflix show, but it actually has several health benefits. These include calming the nervous system, balancing hormones, improving immunity, and improving joints, muscles, and bones. A bath also exposes our body to fluid, ensuring hydration in all aspects. You can enhance this by adding oils or salts, such as Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Oil Body Oil, which restores skins natural oil balance and is enriched with vitamins to promote healthy skin.

  1. Take time out

It is time to enjoy de-stressing and give yourself permission to let go of worries for a while. Relaxing gives your mind and body time to recover from everyday stresses in life, which is vital for our overall wellbeing. There are many tools, resources, and tips to guide you on how to relax, including a known favourite of popping on a face mask! Face masks don’t just improve the appearance of your skin, they can also be extremely therapeutic as the ultimate relaxation product. Palmer’s Coconut Water Hydrating Sheet Mask contains ingredients such as Coconut Milk and Chamomile Extract to naturally soothe and moisturise the skin, nourishing your complexion and mind simultaneously.

  1. Say no to others and say yes to your self-care

Learning to say no can be extremely difficult and many of us feel obligated to say yes to family, friends, and work colleagues. However, this can potentially lead to burnout and anxiety if you are already stressed or overworked. This may take a little practice, but there a few things you can incorporate into your self-care regime to help boost your confidence and self-esteem and remind yourself that your needs are important to. This could include giving yourself a mani/pedi using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion prior to applying your favourite nail colour for optimum hydration and relaxation. Alternatively, you could spend some time on your pre-summer glow by using Palmer’s Coconut Oil Natural Bronze Gradual Tanning Moisturiser, putting the natural radiance and all the antioxidants back into your skin and spirit.
